Three awards for CHRIS THE SWISS

All good things come in threes! On Friday evening, March 22, 2019, Chris the Swiss won in all three categories for which it was nominated at the Swiss Film Awards. Stefan Kälin was awarded the prize for Best Editing, Marcel Vaid for Best Music and Anja Kofmel, Samir and Sereina Gabathuler for Best Documentary.

Anyone who has missed the movie in theaters will have the opportunity to watch it this Sunday, March 31, at 20:30 at KOSMOS. The film is shown in the impressive Dolby Atmos version, which gives full credit to the award winning score. The movie is also available on our VOD platform.

Theatrical Release Switzerland

On September 13, 2018, «Chris the Swiss» will finally be released in Swiss cinemas. The theatrical release in Romandy will follow on September 19.

Swiss Film Award

Congratulations to the team of "Chris the Swiss" - the film was nominated for the Swiss Film Award in three categories at the Night of Nominations in Solothurn: Best Documentary, Best Editing and Best Score. Stefan Kälin was responsible for the editing and Marcel Vaid for the music. We keep our fingers crossed for all the nominees for the award ceremony on 22 March 2019.

Pre-premiere at «Kosmos», 12.09.2018

One day before the official theatrical release of «Chris the Swiss», a premiere event will be held at «Kosmos» in Zurich. On 12th September 2018, at 18:30, director Anja Kofmel will present the film in the cinema and will answer the questions of the Zurich audience during a Q&A.
There are still a few tickets available, which can be obtained via this link.
This premiere date is also the beginning of a cinema tour during which Anja Kofmel will travel to several Swiss cities to present her film. The other dates of this tour can be found here.

IFFR Live from Sarajevo

Exciting news for CHRIS THE SWISS:
The film is screening as part of the «IFFR Live» at SARAJEVO FILM FESTIVAL. Director Anja Kofmel will be in Sarajevo for a Q&A after the screening. The whole event will be screened in KINO Rotterdam and online as well!

Locarno Festival

Swiss Premiere at Locarno Festival

The anima documentary «Chris the Swiss» by Anja Kofmel celebrates its Swiss premiere at the Locarno Festival and will be screened as part of the section «Panorama Suisse». The screening will take place on Friday, August 3, 2018 at 11:15 in the FEVI. Anja Kofmel, the producers Samir and Sereina Gabathuler, as well as other crew members will be present.
